Nicolás Sanchez
Software developer in Buenos Aires. I've been at LambdaClass since 2021, mostly working on backend systems in Elixir and Phoenix. Since 2022 I've also led teams; right now, a team of five on a restaurant management platform.
Besides backend I do a fair amount of frontend in React and TypeScript, plus infrastructure work: deploys, monitoring and that kind of thing. I use AI tools like Claude Code every day.

Restaurant management platform
Tech lead, team of five
SaaS for running restaurants, in production. I lead the team and work across the backend, the frontend and the deploy pipeline.
- Built the public External API: versioned endpoints, API key management for clients and an approval flow for staff.
- Worked on the deploy pipeline: preflight checks, serialized deploys and a rollback process that also reverts database migrations.
- Wrote a Python load generator that simulates around 60 point-of-sale stations, which we used to reproduce a connection-pool problem from production and check the fix.
- Set up Grafana dashboards versioned in the repo, and Slack alerts for failed merges and third-party outages.

Game development team
Two projects in parallel
Kenzu: Shadow and Light
A Metroidvania made in Unity, in early access on itch.io. I built the player controller, movement, jumping and combat, and spent a lot of time tuning how it feels to play. I also set coding patterns for the team.
Multiplayer game backend
Backend in Elixir for a real-time online game, built for 900+ concurrent players. WebSockets with Protocol Buffers for state sync, and an umbrella project split into game logic, physics and users. I also worked on CI/CD and Unity editor tooling for builds.

Developer, then tech lead from 2022
Management system for an oncology center: treatments, appointments, patient records, billing and HR. It's still in use.
- Led a team of between four and eight developers and was the main technical contact for the client.
- Designed the database and business logic across the center's departments.
- Integrations with ARCA (Argentina's tax authority) for electronic invoicing, and Google OAuth.
- Monitoring with Grafana, Prometheus and Slack alerts; infrastructure on AWS.
